HONOLULU, HI, August 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert L. Su, Chief Information Officer for the State of Hawaii Department of Taxation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in his career.
Mr. Su has 25 years of overall professional experience. As the CIO for the State of Hawaii Department of Taxation, he is in charge of managing projects, leading the information technology team, and overseeing database administration and web services. He provides leadership to his team by setting goals and providing a professional example in order to advance the IT team's mission, guiding them to the successful completion of multiple projects. He is also an adjunct professor for Wayland Baptist University and Hawaii Pacific University. Additionally, he teaches senior citizens at community centers to operate computers and teaches Mandarin Chinese to students.
In 1983, Mr. Su earned his Master of Management from California State University. In 1985, he earned his Master of Computer Science from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Federation of Tax Administrators. He received the Sustained Superior Performance Award from the City and County of Honolulu. He also received the Manager of the Year Award from the State of Hawaii (in 2009). In addition, he received the Most Outstanding Graduate from Hawaii Leadership Academy, Federal OPM Program, Group 10.
