CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems training suite provides hands-on security training to Chris Lewis Fire & Security customers
Customers of Chris Lewis Fire & Security, who operate across the South of the UK, can now get hands on security training in a test environment that matches their own security system.
OXFORD, ENGLAND, March 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chris Lewis Fire & Security has opened a new training suite at its Oxford headquarters. The facility, designed to provide customers with hands-on training in CCTV operation as well as access control and intruder alarm systems, features technologies from a range of manufacturers. The suites dedicated network enables the configuration of each customer's security system to be replicated, so that both training and trouble-shooting can be made realistic and practical.
CCTV training covers changing camera views, reviewing footage, interrogating event logs and archiving footage to disk. It also provides an opportunity for customers to try out and experience first-hand the benefits of network viewing software. Training on intruder alarm systems covers setting and unsetting the alarm, adding and deleting tags, changing alarm codes, and troubleshooting faults. Access control training teaches users how to administer their system, add or delete users, and change individual or group door settings.
Training Manager Oliver Jacobs comments, "Because our in-house training courses are interactive, the number of participants will be limited to eight in the Oxford suite. Where a customer has a requirement to train larger groups, or where remote training is preferred, the suite is set up so that we can deliver live tutorials via a video link."
A replica of the Oxford training suite is currently under construction at Chris Lewis Fire & Security's Southampton office and is due to be completed in March 2010. It is hoped that these facilities will not only help customers with specific security training requirements, but also enable them to get more out of their fire and security systems, by demonstrating the benefits of integrating CCTV, access control and intruder systems for enhanced event monitoring.
